Jocelyn S. Metsch
Jocelyn Metsch is an associate in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Her practice focuses on insurance subrogation matters involving residential and commercial property losses arising from fire, water, smoke, and other causes of property damage, including complex, large-loss claims and catastrophic wildfire matters.
Ms. Metsch earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with Honors, from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2013. Her undergraduate thesis was published as the featured cover article in the Summer 2013 edition of The Professional Family Mediator.
She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2021. While in law school, Ms. Metsch served as a student attorney in the Pro Bono Civil Clinic, where she represented low-income clients in a variety of civil matters.
Prior to joining Grotefeld Hoffmann, Ms. Metsch represented national insurance carriers in subrogation actions arising from utility-caused wildland fires. She began her legal career in insurance defense, representing national carriers in litigated and pre-litigation property damage and personal injury matters, with an emphasis on premises liability, product liability, and commercial transportation.
Ms. Metsch is admitted to practice law in California. In 2026, she was named a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” in Southern California.
