Kevin A. Schummer

Partner, Portland Office

Kevin Schummer is a partner in the firm’s Portland office. His practice focuses on large property subrogation, including fire losses, water losses, and products liability. Mr. Schummer has extensive experience in complex litigation matters in addition to his work for various transportation and shipping companies. Prior to joining Grotefeld Hoffmann, Mr. Schummer worked for a large Northwest-based defense firm on cases ranging from products liability, breach of contract, and asbestos defense. Prior to that, he worked on the Portland Harbor Superfund matter on behalf of a former ship contractor.

Mr. Schummer received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI and received his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. During his time at DePaul, Kevin was a member of the Latina/o Law Student Association (LLSA), as well as the Moot Court Trial Team.

In his free time, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife and young sons, traveling, endurance sports.
