Ms. Carter graduated in 2021 from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and a Minor in History. She earned her Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2023, with a certificate in Criminal Practice. While at Northern Illinois University, Ms. Carter participated in the Accelerated Law Program, where she graduated cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees in five years.
During law school, Ms. Carter was part of the Criminal Defense Clinic, where she represented clients in Winnebago County. Additionally, she was president of Trial Advocacy Society and Christian Legal Society. Ms. Carter worked with Grotefeld Hoffmann as a law clerk throughout her time in law school.
