The three-day event being held April 26-28 at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa in Monterey, California brings together a diverse group of professionals dedicated to addressing the environmental, economic, legal, social, scientific, and technological issues surrounding wildland fires. Mark Grotefeld, together with Bryan Spitulski of Envista Forensics, will present “The Threat of Wildfires is Rising and So is AI” on Saturday, April 27th from 3:45pm-4:30pm. The presentation will focus on AI driven technologies and solutions to predict, investigate, fight, and manage wildfires, taking advantage of advances in camera, satellite, and artificial intelligence technology.
Adam Romney will be speaking on the increasing availability of inverse condemnation actions as a tool for obtaining compensation for wildfire damage to private property caused by privately-owned utilities outside the State of California; with a particular focus on recent wildfire cases in Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Alaska, and Colorado on Sunday, April 28th from 10:15am-11:00am.
