PLRB Presents is a series of dynamic, engaging short talks designed to help claims professionals build resilience, adapt to change, and prepare for what lies ahead in the industry. As part of the Redefining the Claims Experience track, Tim and Laura will offer practical insights aimed at improving claim handling and recovery outcomes.

Tim’s presentation will focus on how a well-crafted notice letter can set the tone for a successful subrogation claim. He will discuss what makes a notice letter stand out, why timing and delivery matter, and how thoughtful communication can prompt the right response from the right audience while still keeping the insured’s interests in view.

Laura’s presentation will explore creative ways to identify and unlock coverage in complex claims. She will address strategies for locating additional policies, navigating difficult contract provisions, and leveraging anti-indemnity statutes, willful misconduct provisions, and loan receipts to improve recovery opportunities through sharper investigation and stronger policy analysis.

Business loss claims present unique challenges, and this session will provide practical guidance on maximizing recovery when those losses are part of a subrogation claim. Mark, Joe, and Eric will discuss the key considerations in evaluating business loss claims and the evidence that can strengthen recovery potential.
