Lindsay E. DansdillPartner, Chicago Office
Lindsay Dansdill is a partner in the firm’s Chicago office. Her practice primarily focuses on litigation, representing domestic and international corporations in addition to insurance companies as both plaintiffs and defendants in jurisdictions throughout the country. Ms. Dansdill has successfully defended clients against claims in the areas of product liability, construction defects, property damage, false advertising and multi-million dollar class actions. She has further obtained favorable judgments representing the subrogation interests of insurers in large scale property damage cases. Ms. Dansdill also represents the workers’ compensation subrogation interests of insurers in cases involving serious workplace injuries.
Ms. Dansdill places an emphasis on advising domestic and foreign corporations on how to minimize their exposure to litigation when conducting business in the United States. To this end, she regularly drafts contractual agreements for multi-national corporations and advises these corporations on federal and state laws concerning the labeling and advertising of their products. She further advises manufacturers of food products on the potential implications of state and federal regulations and is experienced in resolving legal disputes for food industry clients. Ms. Dansdill regularly presents to audiences consisting of European and company executives and general counsel both on how to prevent and effectively defend themselves against U.S. based lawsuits.
Ms. Dansdill is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, the State of California, the State of Nevada, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and the Eastern District of Wisconsin. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 2000 and her Juris Doctor degree from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2006.
Since the commencement of her legal career, Ms. Dansdill has volunteered for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services where she provides pro bono services to low income clients on a wide range of legal issues. She also serves as mentor for Year Up, an organization that provides urban youth with internships, technical training and college credits to further their professional development.
Ms. Dansdill was named an Illinois “Rising Star” in 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
